 Singing Spear Empty
PostSubject: Singing Spear    Singing Spear EmptyThu Aug 30, 2012 6:39 pm

Here is one that might be worth debating.

In Eldar Codex:

"The singing spear is a psyicically charges weapon similar to a witch blade, but it can also be thrown at opponents....Like witchblades, singing spears wound on a 2+, but when rolling to damage a vehicle they have a strength of 9. When thrown singing spears have the following profile"

Range: 12 " S:X AP:6 Assault 1

The codex refers the player to the rulebook to get the profile on a witchblade.

The profile explained for a singing spear is the same as it was previously for a witchblade when attacking a vehicle. So, the question would be, would the spear still act as a str 9 against vehicles in combat or thrown, or would it work as the witchblades do now in 6th edition?

my eldar codex is out on loan right now so ill take your word on the text. it seems to me it is not a witch blade so it would fallow the rule set in the codex. this isnt set in stone but this is how it seems to me.

i had the chance to pick up my codex. it would fallow the profile listed in the codex, and retains the rules listed on its entry. in the codex it only uses the reference to say they are similar.
