Telion and the Quad Gun Empty
PostSubject: Telion and the Quad Gun   Telion and the Quad Gun EmptyThu Nov 22, 2012 10:28 am

This cam up in the last tournament that Tomahawc sponsored, I didn't think it was that big a deal so I went with how my opponent wanted to play it, but I would like a official ruling for next time.

Telion has precision on all his attacks. If I put him on the quad gun, and get four wounds with it, how does that work? Do I allocate each wound individually? As in, take one on your sergeant, see if he passes, if he doesn't, do I then get to pick another model? Or do I just place all 4 wounds on the model that I want to shoot at, and if he dies from the first, the other three are just lost?

To my knowledge of mixed wound pools, ie with different ap's, strengths, and with varied special rules all done in one attack phase be it shooting or assault the wounds get put into groups that the attacker gets to determine the order in which the groups get resolved.

So since there resolved as groups the attacker would have to allocate all the wounds done with the same special rule, precision shot in this case, at once then they would all be resolved.

So if Telion and his scouts were to wound your squad with 4 total precision shots and 3 other normal wounds the shooter would have to allocate all 4 precision shot wounds (for instance put 2 on your sergeant and 2 on your special weapons model) then they would be resolved cause mixed wounds are resolved as groups at once per each special rule type.

Edit: Looks like the mixed wounds rule is on page 15 bottom right of page, and it staes that the wounds are resolved as groups. So looks like its definetley allocate them all as groups till there all allocated then resolve them.
