CotH 2012 sep 7th,8th and 9th.

CotH 2012 is coming up fast. I'm starting up this thread to make sure we are going to be ready for the turnout. There are a lot of people coming in from out of town match wit with some of the best. I know there are a lot of people planning to registering at the door. i can't promice there are going to be seats left, but i want to be able to accommodate as many people as possible. most of you have already picked up your tickets, but if you haven't give us a post here or head over to the main site to order it online.

get ready we are less than 2 weeks away from the big one. if you have any questions drop them in here or on the rulings page. keep in mind one of the events will be set up for teams. this leads to a lot of unique situations the standard rulebook doesn't go into detail on.

check in:
Friday @4 game starts at 6
Saturday @9 game starts at 10
Sunday @10 game starts at 11
if you are in the finals sunday may change a bit due to attendance.

Salvation teammates will be treated as allies out of the rule book with one exception.

1) teammates are ether battle brothers or allies of convenience. If not marked as a battle brother you are always treated as allies of convenience.

I've had a lot of people asking about tickets and confirmations. Tickets are only electronic only. if you payed by Paypal, you can print off your Paypal confirmation for your proof of purchase. if you payed in person you can ask one of us for a for physical receipt.

will we need to prove proof of the purchase at the door?

No just an ID.

My receipt no longer exists as it was cleaned out of my car with other papers that should not have been kept. Are you able to get us another copy of the receipt or do you have record of each of us who has paid in person all ready?

Never mind... I'm dumb and will leave this post as an example of why you should read an entire thread before posting...

we are only one week out folks. all the scenarios are up with the exception of a couple of the team games (they will be up early next week).

So what's our stance on painting?

I want to bring an army that I've just started but it's only primed so far. I realize i'd probably get a 0 for painting but would that be included in the final score?

Also, is there a standard deduction if you didn't paint your army?

painting is scored separate, and there are no painting restrictions on your army. "gray still plays"

there are 2 categories for painting, full army and single unit. how we are going to do this will be announced sat morning.

Quick question:

In tonight slaughter, if we have an aegis def line, how are we going to determine the point value given or not for the opponent when it comes to the scoring? Do they need to destroy the gun or just occupy the area with the def line? Or will they just automatically get the points?

I kind of need to know to help determine if it is worth running tonight or if I should hold off on it. Thanks!

If a fortification is take or controlled they award points. To take a building you must have a unit inside it. To controle it you must have the only none vehicle model within 3 in of it.

Building that makes perfect sense.

Aegis Def Lines?

How would you determine who is in control of it? Is it controlled if you are the only model within inches of the main part of the wall, say where the gun is stationed?

On the def line, for example:
You have a carnafex 2 in from your def line, and your opponent has a devastator squad touching the def line 18 in from your feX. They would not controle the line because the fex is there. Think " like objective"

The gun upgrade is would be considered a separate model for FOC points. Consider it an objective without the limitation of scoring units and the "controlling unit" must be the only unit Within 2"
